Only one more day! Today I took inspiration from MissJenFabulous again and recreated one of her designs she recently did. I used Mint Julep - Savvy by DB and SeƱorita Rose-alita - O.P.I.
There isn't much else to say today except that the photo isn't the best because there was no sun at all today so I had to improvise with the lighting. I think it's about time I made a lightbox.
I don't particularly hate or love this mani but that might be because I'm just a little sick of looking at my own nails haha.

31 Day Challenge: Day 29 - Inspired by the Supernatural
On to today's actual post! I had this idea in my head that I'd do something vampire related, like vampire teeth with blood or something but then I couldn't draw the teeth the way I wanted so I gave up on that and came up with the idea to do a moon. It's not as supernatural as I wanted it to be, considering the moon is a real thing, but everyone always comments on weird things happening on a full moon, so I thought that it was sort of relevant for today.
My base is two coats of Twilight Rays - Maybelline and I mixed My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I and Feeling Grey - Models Own to get the moon colour, because I wanted something slightly grey but still quite white. Twilight Rays has gold flecks throughout it so it gives the effect that it's the night sky, which I hadn't planned but it makes sense.
Only two more days and then I can give my nails a few days rest and get back into a good nail care routine before starting some new things!

31 Day Challenge: Day 28 - Inspired by a Flag
Firstly, please excuse my absence this weekend, I was house sitting for my sister and was a bit busy so I didn't have time to do my nails properly. Secondly, the two prompts I'm posting tonight are very basic nails because I quickly did them today and I had no inspiration whatsoever.
Anyway, my flag nails are based on the Australian flag, using Royal - Revlon as my base colour. Royal is such a nice blue, I've never properly worn it on my nails before but I loved it, I only did two coats, but three coats might have been better if I were to wear it for a few days. I was going to do the union jack on my thumb nail, but I honestly couldn't be bothered going to that effort. I most likely would have stuffed it up anyway and would have been even lazier repainting it. So I just stuck to doing an interpretation of the Southern Cross from the flag, I did dots instead of actual stars, but you get the picture.
I've already come up with the idea to do some version of the flag for Australia Day in January as a sort of redo of today. Sorry about the less than average nails and lack of posting!

31 Day Challenge: Day 27 - Inspired by Artwork
I wasn't too sure what I would do today but then I came across Jackson Pollock artwork and it seemed so obvious that I wondered why I hadn't thought of it before. I based these splatter nails on a particular piece, it's not exact of course but it's similar colours. I wanted to stay away from bright nails and even though these do have orange and yellow in them, the grey and black pulls it all together to lessen the pops of colour a bit. I wondered if I had overdone them a bit, because I kept going back and redoing some of the colours to make them all even-ish. But I don't think you can really over do nails inspired by Jackson Pollock artwork, because his work is so full of colours and layers.
I used colours I've mentioned before, but I list them anyway:
White: My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I
Black: Blackmail - Australis
Grey: Moody Grey - Models Own
Yellow: Frangipani - Ulta3
Orange: Sun Kissed - Sally Hansen
(Ahh that hand pose is so awkward but I can't get my thumb in any other position that shows it off.)
Not sure what's coming the next few days, because I only have one of them planned but who knows what I might come up with. Have a lovely weekend, I'll be back tomorrow.

This is the particular piece that I based my design on. I do like these nails, I think I like the thumb nail the best because the colours aren't so big on it, compared to the middle fingernail anyway.

31 Day Challenge: Day 26 - Inspired by a Pattern
We're almost there! It's the home stretch now and I can feel that it's almost over because I'm becoming very apathetic about the challenge haha. But I'm still enjoying the finished product and I know it's worth it in the end because I've definitely expanded my skills this past month.
Today's prompt was inspired by a pattern, I went op-shopping with my best friend a few weeks ago and I picked up a big knitted jumper that has a sort of criss-cross pattern and when I saw this prompt I had the idea to recreate it. I didn't have the exact same colours, but I had similar colours. It's not exactly a fishtail braid pattern, but that's what I did on my nails! I went by this tutorial by MissJenFabulous.
I used Classy - Revlon as the base and the cream-ish colour, Hot Spring - Ulta3 is the dark pink and the blue is Cool Cat - Sugar Baby.
That's it for today! No clue what I'll be doing tomorrow, so that could be interesting.

31 Day Challenge: Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion
I had no clue what I would do today, so last night I googled some things relating to fashion, I wanted to recreate something new and fresh and from an Australian brand which made me think to Google the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I then came across a relatively new Australian brand (it's only about four years old) called We Are Handsome. I looked at their website and they make amazing clothes! They're waaaay too expensive for me but maybe one day I'll be able to purchase something because I would really like to haha.
Anyway, these are my nails and the swimsuit design I was inspired by.
And just as an extra, here's a super close up shot:
I used Pillar Box Red - W7 (which is more pink on these nails because I did very thin coats) and UFO - Savvy by DB. These colours look amazing together in my opinion and I love this mani because it's simple and subtle yet looks really striking as well. I thought I would struggle a lot more with today's prompt but I'm glad I found this brand!

31 Day Challenge: Day 24 - Inspired By A Book (The Fault In Our Stars)
I absolutely love reading so this prompt excited me, but straight away I knew which book I wanted to be replicate on my nails. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green is in my top 5 favourite books ever, I've read it too many times (although too many is never enough) and it never fails to make me happy and excited and miserable all at once. It's lovely, if you haven't read it, I won't spoil it, but I recommend reading it. It is currently being made into a movie starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort as the two main characters, so if you're not up for reading it, you can definitely watch it when it's released. I know a lot of people have different views on John Green, but he's one of my favourite authors so I thought I'd honour my favourite book of his.
I used Feeling Blue - Models Own as my base, which matches pretty perfectly with the cover of the book. Then using a dotting tool I made clouds with my go to black and whites My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I and Blackmail - Australis. Then on the index and pinky fingernails I wrote the word 'okay'. If you've read the book you'll understand, but the story surrounding the word 'okay' is one of my favourite parts and something I love so much. The O's kind of look like D's but it's obvious what I was trying to do haha. I'm really happy with these nails, and I think I'll redo them for when I see the movie.
That's all for today, I'll be here tomorrow with nails inspired by fashion. Only a week left in the challenge!

31 Day Challenge: Day 23 - Inspired By A Movie (Wreck-It Ralph)
I had no idea what movie I wanted to do today, and as I didn't have my hard drive with me I couldn't browse through my movies to get an idea. So I ended up thinking about what movie I've watched most this year and straight away I thought of Wreck-It Ralph. I absolutely love that movie, it makes me so happy and I can't explain why, it just does. Then I got to thinking about what type of designs I could and because I didn't have the movie with me, I had to google some screencaps to get an idea. I settled on three designs.
On my thumb and ring nail I used Bad Anon - Gloss 'N Sparkle (from the August Wreck-It Ralph themed What's In-die Box?)
My index nail is based on Turbo, a character who leaves his game and when Ralph also leaves his game others ask if he's 'going Turbo'. I used three coats of MBSW - O.P.I and the red is Pillar Box Red - W7, I painted the T using the brush from the bottle instead of taping it all out.
My middle finger was a doozy, I originally wanted to do pink and white diagonal stripes like the tree Ralph and Vanellope climb when Ralph first goes into the Sugar Rush game. All was going well until I pulled off the second last bit of tape and with game the white polish. Which I don't understand because I had painted the base last night to avoid the polish being pulled up haha. So I started again and didn't want to risk it, so I simply did a pink dotted design to sort of represent Sugar Rush. The pink is Pink Peony - Ulta3.
And my pinky is of course the medal that Ralph gets and Vanellope goes on to take the medal and use in her own game. The gold is Glitz - Orly and the blue is Cool Cat - Sugar Baby.
So they are my Wreck-It Ralph nails and I'm quite pleased with them, I just wish my middle finger had worked out the way it should have! See you all tomorrow with nails inspired by a book!

31 Day Challenge: Day 22 - Inspired By A Song - Lady Gaga's Applause
I've had this idea in my head ever since I started the challenge, so I knew exactly what I wanted to do today. Last night I watched the film clip to Applause and took screenshots of parts I wanted to replicate or what I thought might be easy to put on my nails. So I'll be showing the screenshots from the video that I based my nails on as well, so it's easier to understand. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about them, they looked better in my head but I think I executed it as best I could.
The thumb, middle, and ring fingers were inspired by Gaga's makeup:
And the index and pinky fingers were inspired by this:
I used the watercolour technique of dabbing on some nail polish, dipping a brush into acetone and then dabbing the blob of nail polish around the nail, for all the nails. But for the make up inspired nails I wanted to try and replicate the placement of the makeup on her face across two nails. The darker blue was the hardest part as I had to try swoop it down without covering too much of the nail. For the other two fingers I used to tape to try get the shape of the purple light/smoke (?) that surrounds her. I had a bit of trouble with lifting when I pulled the tape off but it was nothing I couldn't fix with a bit of extra polish and a top coat to smooth things out.
As for colours, this is what I used:
White base: three coats of My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I
Teal: Let's Get Lost - Essence, Colour & Go
Dark Blue: Royal - Revlon
Orange: Sun Kissed - Sally Hansen
Yellow: Yellow Mellow - Sally Hansen
Light Purple: Grapetini - Savvy by DB
Darker Purple: No. 16 - Miki (this doesn't show up that well but it accounts for the small bits of red glitter, which I didn't mean to happen but it turned out okay anyway).
So there's my 'Inspired By A Song' mani. Tomorrow is 'Inspired By A Movie' and I have zero ideas! Hope everyone has had/is having a good weekend!
Ps after yesterday I realised my nails were two uneven from some breaks, so I had to file them down and make them round, not sure if I like this shape better than square though.

31 Day Challenge: Day 21 - Inspired By A Colour
Today is probably one of the least 'inspired by' days because it almost makes no sense! Inspired by a colour can mean so many things, and ever since I decided to do this, this has been the design I've had in my head the whole time for today. I've done this mani previously before I had a blog and I really liked it because it's simple but also adds a bit of fun to my nails. So I think this means I was inspired by neon yellow, or maybe grey?
I started with two coats of a white base to make the neon pop, then did one coat of Citrus - Ulta3, let that dry before putting one strip of striping tape on each nail (I realised when I taking photos that my pinky line is a bit crooked) and then did one coat of Moody Grey - Models Own on each nail, slowly pulling the tape off straight after.
The grey mutes the neon slightly, because there isn't a lot of it left and I think that's what I really like about this mani. The colours also reminds me of something a tennis player would wear. That's what I first thought when I finished this.
These last few days might get tricky because I don't really have a lot planned, just some ideas that I'm not sure how to execute. Let's see how it goes!

31 Day Challenge: Day 20 - Watermarble
So I love watermarble designs and I've never had too much trouble doing them, which is why I love them. Also because they can look absolutely amazing. The hardest part for me today was picking colours, I went through about six different combinations before I settled on these two colours, both by Revlon, the green is Wind Fall and the orange is Mock Snob.
The green didn't turn out as bright as it is when normally used on it's own and once again the photos don't do the colours justice anyway. Wind Fall has a slight shimmer to it but it doesn't show too well when used this way. I'm happy with how this turned out, even though the green isn't as vibrant as I'd like (I think it's just such a thin polish that it wasn't opaque enough with only one drop each time), but the colours go well together and reminds me of some type of lolly.
Not much else to say about these nails except that I think these are the best watermarbles I've ever done, so I feel like I'm improving which is great!
Today was the end of the 'patterns' section of the challenge. The last section is 'inspired by' which may be difficult but I've tried planning some designs so we'll see if it all works out. See you tomorrow!

31 Day Challenge: Day 19 - Galaxy
I am so incredibly excited to show you what I achieved! I've attempted galaxies before without great success and I knew it was because I didn't have a great range of colours, but a year later my collection is a lot bigger than it used to be so I knew today would be a breeze.
I love everything about galaxy designs, I used to own the purple galaxy leggings from Black Milk Clothing before I sold them and I currently own the blue galaxy skirt from Black Milk. I love looking at pictures of galaxies too so I was always disappointed when I couldn't replicate them on my nails. But when I successfully did these nails I was massively excited and couldn't stop staring at them. I don't even want to take them off to do tomorrow's design!
I used a few colours to achieve this look:
Black Base: Onyx Rush - Maybelline Color Show (this has a slight shimmer to it so I thought it'd be a great base for galaxies).
The following colour were what I sponged:
My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I
Meteor - Savvy by DB (what a fitting name for a galaxy design)
Suzi Says Feng Shui - O.P.I
SeƱorita Rose-Alita - O.P.I
I then used MBSW to add a few star-like dots and then used an unnamed glitter and top coated it with Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri (which is my fave top coat).
I had a lot of fun doing this and I'm super happy with how it turned out. I was so glad I was successful. I definitely think I'll be doing this again with different colours. Tomorrow's prompt is watermarbling and I am a huge fan of watermarbling so I can't wait to pick some colours and go nuts!

31 Day Challenge: Day 18 - Half Moons
I can't believe we're at day 18 already, the last week has been a blur of nails. It's crazy. Anyway, today is half moons and I wish I had used something better than french manicure tip guides. The last few times I've done half moon designs I've used those small circle bandaids but I didn't have any this time round, so I just used french tip guides. I had been meaning to go out and buy those circle stickers you use to reinforce loose leaf paper holes for folders but I didn't get around to it. I still like this though. I love the colour combination a lot.
(Only one photo turned out good and I didn't realise till I had already taken it off.)
The base colour is Baguette Me Not - O.P.I and the top colour is Teal - Savvy by DB.
Tomorrow is galaxy! I'm excited despite the fact that I'm not great at it. More info tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

31 Day Challenge: Day 17 - Glitter
Today is an easy day, so there isn't much to talk about in the way of technique or method. My base is two coats of Irish Coffee - Savvy by DB, the glitter on all my nails is Disco Ball - Sally Hansen and the extra glitter top coat on my ring finger is Dancing Queen - Face of Australia (part of their Glitterati collection).
I must admit that the base colour looked more gray than brown when I put the glitter on it. It was weird how it transformed from a nice brown to gray. I do love gray polish though, so I have no problem with it but I wish it had stayed brown. Or maybe I was just looking at it in the wrong light? It's not sunny at all in Melbourne right now, so it was hard to capture the colour. My cuticles are looking worse each day no matter how much I moisturise them. I think when the challenge is done I'll have to give my nails a rest.
Tomorrow is half moons, I haven't done them for a long time so I'm looking forward to it!

31 Day Challenge: Day 16 - Tribal Pattern
Today was always going to be a difficult one. Just like with the flowers a few days ago, I watched too many tribal nail tutorials to remember what they were. They helped a lot though because I had absolutely no idea what to do. I've never wanted to do these nails before and I don't want to do them again to be honest. It was the worst.
I started with the thumb nail to practice and ended up having to redo it, but that was fair enough because I knew it'd happen at least once. I then moved on to doing all the nails and I was using a striper brush that came with some polish, not one of the striper brushes you get in a pack of ten nail art brushes or whatever. That made it a whole lot easier, even though I was constantly cleaning it to use a different colour, etc. And then I royally messed up the ring finger and refused to redo it, so I painted in a simple pink, one of the colours used on the other nails. In a way, it sort of breaks up the pattern and makes them look simpler.
I guess they aren't completely bad, they look nicer on my nails, from a distance...
Colours used:
White: My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I
Black: Blackmail - Australis
Yellow: Mellow Yellow - Sally Hansen
Orange: Butterfly - Revlon
Pink: Tulip - Revlon
I think today was the hardest day so far, maybe of the whole challenge so it can only go up from here!

31 Day Challenge: Day 15 - Delicate
I don't have much to say about today's nails except that I'm not proud of them. I did them in less than twenty minutes (it shows) and hurriedly took pictures of them. I was barely home today so I didn't have time to do anything special so I just stuck to something that was familiar.
I did four reasonably thin coats of Kiss Me On The Chic - O.P.I and the tips are Snow & Ice - Savvy by DB. To me it's quite a delicate colour and that was enough for it.
Oh well, tomorrow is tribal print and I'm excited because I've never attempted it before but I'm up for the challenge. See you all then, with what I hope is a better attempt than today!

31 Day Challenge: Day 14 - Flowers
Today's prompt is flowers! As you can see below I did two versions of flowers on my nails. I was excited for today, even though I was also slightly nervous because I've never successfully done a floral design before. I watched numerous tutorials on how to do them, I'm talking too many to list because I can barely remember, they've all blurred into one at this point.
But I took all this information on board and began to do a classic rose look. As you can see, I completed this design (not very successfully) on my ring and thumb nails. I asked my brother whether they looked like flowers and he said they looked a bit like cupcakes. Either way, I'm a little bit pleased with my how my first go went, I did mess up a little bit but the top coat smoothed all that out for me. I also attempted this design on my middle finger, because initially I was only going to do a design on those three fingers, but whilst adding the dark purple outlines, I accidentally scratched the nail with my other hand and I sort of threw my dotting tool down and got pretty annoyed because I was seriously hoping I wouldn't have to redo any nails.
At this point I decided to also throw in some more simpler pink daisy-like flowers on the other fingers while I repainted the base colour. Overall I'm quite happy with it even if it does look like a first try. But hey, practice makes perfect and I now feel more comfortable doing flowers.
(Side note: I'm noticing my editing skills are varying from photo to photo and it's so frustrating so excuse the inconsistency. Also my thumb cuticle is horrible right now because I slammed that finger in a door a month ago, right on the cuticle and it's still too tender to push back properly. I'm scared the nail is going to fall off.)
The base colour is what I used for my leopard print dots yesterday, Sheer Peach - W7, the light purple is Time Out - Sugar Baby, the dark purple is No. 16 - Miki (I think? I don't know well known this brand is) the green leaves are Sky High - Rimmel, the pink is Pink Peony - Ulta3 and the yellow is Frangipani - Ulta3. I top-coated it with Seche Vite because I'm trying to get used to using it again, I know it's quite popular but I'm still not a massive fan of it.
I know this was quite a wordy post but I had to explain it all. Tomorrow is delicate print, so watch me struggle with that! Maybe I can try stamping again? Hope everyone's having a great weekend so far!

31 Day Challenge: Day 13 - Animal Print
As I said I would yesterday, I did leopard print today! I stayed away from the typical leopard colours just because I'm not a fan of the print and I actually like the final result. But I still can't see myself wearing this properly or for a long period of time. I have to warm up to it first I think. Although the more I look at it on my nails, the more I'm liking it. So maybe in the future I can try another colour scheme and see how I feel.
I do like leopard print in the way that it's just so simple and easy to do, this took barely any time and that was lucky because I've been feeling quite sick today and I almost didn't even bother with the challenge, but I knew it'd be quick to do, so I sucked it up and got it done. I didn't top coat it though because I wasn't in the mood for a strong polish scent. I also didn't want to risk causing the black to drag because I didn't want to have to redo it either.
I did three (or was it four?) coats of the base colours, green is Hocus Pocus - BYS and the pinkish red is Pop Pink - BYS, the dots are Sheer Peach - W7 and the black is Blackmail - Australis.
The next few days are going to be hard for me so hopefully I don't just give up all together and can actually produce some good designs.

31 Day Challenge: Day 12 - Stripes
Today was a good nail day! I stuck with some simple stripes using striping tape and I chose to do only use three strips on each nail so that there were different sizes and stripe thickness. I had a bit of trouble picking colours because I always struggle to pick colours that work well together but I think I did a really good job with this one. They're quite fun and I think this mani would look great in summer!
The yellow is Unicorn - Sinful Colors and the coral is Instyle Coral - Rimmel.
I had a little mishap when taking the tape off of my ring finger and the polish ran onto the yellow a bit but it's nothing major and I'm still really happy with it.
Not much else to say about these because I'm happy with them and it was easy to do. Tomorrow's prompt is animal print and I'll most likely be doing leopard print because it's the only animal print I can do, plus I've never actually worn it on my nails, only practised on fake nails, because I'm not a massive fan of it, but I'm hoping I can make it look better than I think it is.

31 Day Challenge: Day 11 - Polka Dots
Today was quite an easy day, I tend to do a lot of dotted designs but since I've been doing quite bright colours in the last few designs I wanted to start with a black base and have pastels dots. It didn't work out entirely to plan but I still like it a lot and I'm glad I didn't chose a white base with bright colours as I was originally going to.
These photos were also so hard to take and edit because it's not a very bright day and I feel like pastel is hard to capture on an overcast day. But in saying that, the only real difference between the photos and real life is in the photos, you can't see exactly how minty green the smaller dots are. I also did two layers of the pink because that was very light against the black and not at all opaque enough. I don't know I feel about these photos but I really can't photograph them better than this or even edit them properly because nothing was making the colours show better.
Anyway, the black base is Blackmail - Australis, the pink dots are Kiss on the Chic - O.P.I and the smaller mint dots are Mint Julep - Savvy by DB (if you can't already tell I own quite a few Savvy polishes, they are what I have most of in my whole collection.
I am quite happy with this mani, I just wish it looked as good in the photos as it does on my nails. Does anyone have any tips for taking photos/editing? I thought I was doing okay up until today.
Tomorrow's prompt is stripes and I don't have a plan yet but I'm hoping it'll be an easy day.

31 Day Challenge: Day 10 - Gradient
Firstly, I kind of suck at gradients even though I enjoy them. I still haven't perfected the right method for doing them and I always stick to the one way because it's what I know, even if it doesn't work out all the time. Secondly, I don't know what I was thinking when I picked the colours, but it looked good in my head.
So here's my gradient manicure, even though technically the colours don't gradually blend into each other because they're such opposites. I still think I like it though? I did a similar colour gradient for my birthday dinner in July and I liked it then but now I cannot decide. I almost wish I had picked two similar colours but sometimes that isn't fun. I did this in a bit of a rush because I was a bit busy today so my clean up job accidentally ruined some of it but it still works.
I used My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I for the white base. The blue is Royal - Revlon (it's actually a very, very royal blue, it just doesn't photograph well I guess) and the pink is Pink Shock - Maybelline Color Show.
So I'm not completely happy with it, but it's made me realise I need to branch out and try new gradient methods so maybe in the not too distant future, I'll have a better one for you all, on that note what methods do others use? I just use a make up sponge and paint the colours onto it and go over it once or twice again, but I have seen a bunch of other methods using a sponge, what works best do you think?
Anyway we are now in the good part of the challenge so I'll hopefully have a bunch of awesome stuff to show in the next few days and there will definitely be some challenging days considering I've never done a floral, delicate or tribal print before, so they'll be an interesting three days!

31 Day Challenge: Day 9 - Rainbow
Ahh I was so excited by today's prompt but then my original plan failed and I was a bit disappointed, but then I remembered seeing a few tutorials a while back on watercolour nails so I decided to do that today and oh my god I'm so happy I failed at first because these nails have shot straight up to my favourite design. Just like with the black and white nails, I had never done this design before and I am incredibly happy with them, I also can't understand why I've never done it before.
And just like the black and white nails I did something different on my thumb, the design on my thumb was part of the original design but I wanted to try it out anyway just to see if it would have worked out and I'm also quite pleased with it, it would probably look even better with a certain colour scheme instead of rainbow.
I used quite a few colours for this but I'll list them towards the end.
I also decided to take a photo outside because it seemed brighter but I'm not too sure if it was haha. And I've watermarked my photos with my instagram name. I'm not sure how I feel about the watermark but it's just a precaution and if I didn't start using it now I would eventually anyway.
I used the acetone method for this, I'm not sure if there are other ways to do this, although I have seen plastic wrap being used to press it down but acetone seemed like the easiest way and it was!
Colours used:
Index finger:
Red: Pillar Box Red - W7
Orange: Sun-kissed - Sally Hansen
Middle finger:
Yellow: Mellow Yellow - Sally Hansen
Green: Green Grass - Rimmel
Ring finger:
Blue: Azure Martini - Savvy by DB
Dark Purple: UFO - Savvy by DB
Pinky finger:
Dark Purple: (same as above)
Lilac: Grapetini - Savvy by DB
The white base was by BYS.
I'm so happy and proud of these nails and once the challenge is over I will definitely be trying this design out with different colours.
Hope everyone's having a good Monday!

31 Day Challenge: Day 8 - Metallic
I used to love metallic colours, until I discovered they looked funny on my nails and against my skin. So today I've tried to make this mani look less metallic than it should be. It's a bit of a cop out but I did this late in the day after I realised I hadn't yet done it and I had no idea what I wanted to do. I went for the cling wrap design, however I used a cut up freezer bag. I'm not sure if it was because of the colours or the freezer bag, but this turned out a bit different to what I imagined it would be.
It's not my best work and I'm not massively proud of it, but it does look much cooler in person than in the photos, I think that was due to the fact that I photographed this late in the afternoon when there wasn't a whole lot of light left.
The pink base is Cosmic and the silver is Silver Cloud Martini both by Savvy by DB.
Also, I realised while editing that these aren't the best photos. Today was just such an off day, so I apologise, but hopefully tomorrow is better! I have an idea in my head for the rainbow theme so if it works out it'll be pretty cool.

31 Day Challenge: Day 7 - Black & White
Today's prompt is black and white and I am so in love with this simple design I did! I've never done this design before and I can't understand why because it's so perfect and would be great for any occasion and any outfit. I need to do this design more often and try out different colours. It's obviously like a French manicure, but more exciting haha. I did my thumb differently just for a bit of fun because I ordered a packet of the moustaches from the Born Pretty Store when I got my Spongebob decals so I thought I'd try them out too. I added the eyes and eyebrows because I placed the moustache a bit too low and it looked like it needed a face.
I didn't top coat the thumb because I was worried the eyes would drag. The white is My Boyfriend Scales Walls - O.P.I (I have such a love/hate relationship with white polish, I love wearing it but I hate how streaky it can get while trying to make it opaque), and the black is Blackmail - Australis.
I don't want to take this design off, especially since tomorrow is metallic and I dislike metallic nail polish, but we'll see what tomorrow brings! Hopefully my design makes me happy enough.
