31DC2015: Day 1 - Red

Another year, another 31 Day Challenge! I don't have a lot of faith in myself to complete the challenge this year just because I'm busier but also somehow lazier than the past two years, but I'm going to give it a good go anyway because why the hell not!?

If you know me at all, you'll know I hate the colour red so I always start the challenge annoyed. But today I just did something very simple and easy and since it's been a while my photo taking skills were pretty average.

I used a base of Ulta3's Pepper Pot and then used Black Out by Sally Hansen for the dry brush method. It's not the greatest but I didn't really want to spend too much time on red. It only gets better from here on anyway!

31DC2014: Day 1 - Red

Hello there and welcome to this year's 31 Day Nail Art Challenge, I'm very excited to be doing this again and I think I'll do a lot better than I did last year now that I've got a year's worth of practice under my belt!

If you've been following me for a year, you'll remember that I hate the colour red. I have never liked it and I very rarely wear it, except on my lips. But this was an easy prompt for me because I was inspired by my bottle of Dot by Marc Jacobs. It's one of my favourite perfumes; my nana gave it to me for my 21st birthday last year.

I used Fame Fatal by Essence and Black Satin by Ulta3. I then top coated with Seche Vite, which I'm trying to get used to again, but as I had done the red dots on the black base twice, they were very bumpy so I top coated those nails twice which didn't do much as it was still bumpy.

So that's it for day 1 of the challenge! I'll be back tomorrow with some orange nails! :)

Christmas Nail Art

Just a quick post tonight before I completely forget about these nails! I wore this design to my work Christmas party on Friday night and I rushed them because my original plan to do some candy cane inspired watermarbling didn't turn out how I wanted, so I quickly did these before I had to get ready.

If you wish to know what colours, let me know, I've since packed everything away and considering it's Sunday night I'm feeling too lazy to get up and find them haha, but I'll gladly let you know if you want to find out what a particular polish is.

I've got a few things planned for during the week, so I'm starting to feel like I'm back on track with this whole blog thing! Look for some posts during the next week. Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend!

31 Day Challenge: Day 1 - Red

It's Day 1 of the 31 Day Challenge and the first prompt is red. I chose to do drip nails. This was the first time I attempted them with a dotting tool and it was a lot easier than using anything else, but I'm still not too happy with the result. I think the only nail that looks good is the middle finger. So I'm not off to a good start, but red is my least favourite colour so I wasn't very motivated in trying to find something fun either.

Only the one photo today because I didn't think that much of it. But tomorrow's colour is orange, also not very inspiring, but much better than red.
